After more than 20 years of designing websites, solving creative puzzles, and building beautiful digital spaces, I’m stepping into a new chapter. With a retail space lease officially signed (eek!), I’ll be transitioning out of my role as lead partner at Reecermedia to pursue another dream—owner of The Yarny Way, a local yarn shop in Lubbock, Texas, located in Kingsgate Center South.
This decision didn’t come overnight.
Over the past few years—while earning my master’s degree at Texas Tech University and reflecting on what truly lights me up—I realized it was time to follow the “heartstring” that’s always been there: yarn.
Funny enough, my master’s thesis was centered around a 21st-century German novel by Thomas Hettche titled Herzfaden, which literally translates to “Heartstring.” It feels beautifully full-circle. Supporting the fiber arts as a business owner takes my lifelong yarn hobby to a whole new level—almost like answering a call that’s been whispering for years. I remember the first time I heard that whisper—it was sometime in the late 1980s, when I was living in the Philadelphia area. Ages ago. Just a flicker of a feeling back then. But it stayed with me. Supporting the fiber arts as a business owner takes my lifelong hobby to a whole new level—almost like answering a call that’s been echoing through time.
But don’t worry, I’m not vanishing into a pile of yarn scraps.

I’ll still be part of Reecermedia in a consulting capacity and will continue managing Bossdog Hosting. What’s changing is my day-to-day involvement. I’ll be handing over the creative reins to someone absolutely stellar: Joanie Isom.
Joanie has been by my side since 2018. She’s sharp, kind, wildly creative, and knows this business like the back of her crochet hook (yes, she’s a fiber artist too!). From website updates to new projects and marketing magic, Joanie will now be your go-to contact—and you are truly in the best of hands.
To my dear clients: thank you. For your trust, your ideas, your collaboration. I’m endlessly grateful to have been part of your digital journey. I promise this transition will be a smooth and supported one. The Reecermedia heart still beats strong—and I’ll be cheering from the sidelines with pom-poms and pom-poms. 😉
As always, you can use the Contact page to submit a work request, idea, new project, logo development, or marketing support. (We love bringing visions to life.)
With deep gratitude and lots of squishy yarn,
Marni Reecer
